This is just informative. A more direct and clear price can be calculated by using the two price calculators on this page.
We use three pricing categories: students / regular / corporations & birth or wedding cards
- €25,00 / €32,50 / €45,00 - start-up cost (once per printing session or once per zine project)
- €6,50 / €7,50 / €10,00 - per master
- €0,04 / €0,04 / €0,08 - per copy (regular ink)2
- €0,08 / €0,08 / €0,16 - per copy (special ink)2

* The start-up fee is a cost you pay once per printing session (whether you print one A3 design or one hundred, you only pay the start-up fee once per printing session), or once per zine in the case of printing a zine.
1 We have three different pricing brackets to choose from:
- Discount is for art students. Social, and leftist progressive organisations and movements can ask for an additional discount.
- Regular is for most people, and small local businesses.
- Corporate is for corporate jobs, this includes big businesses, but also graphic designers charging their clients. Also in this pricing brackets are birth announcement cards, wedding invitations and alike.

We pay a lot more for special inks, which is why they are a little bit more expensive for you as well.
3 Bringing your own paper is free, as it saves me the hassle of stocking paper, buying paper, choosing paper, etc. And as an extra plus: you get your own choice of paper. Please make sure that the paper is uncoated and heavier than 70gsm, but lighter than 230gsm and isn’t prone to losing fibers, isn’t too smooth, nor too textured.
Printing on your own paper is always at your own risk, and we can not guarantee that your paper will go through the machine perfectly, nor that your paper is perfectly compatible with RISO ink.
Please make sure that you give me a sufficient amount of paper, with lots of reserve, as we usually print a bit more, and mistakes can happen.
4 The page size refers to the size of a single page. It doesn’t refer to the spread size or the plate size. Please keep in mind that the RISO doesn’t print up to the border, so a full A4 sized zine won’t work. Give your pages a bit of space on the sides.
If your page size is smaller than A4, but larger than A5, always go for the bigger size in the calculator.
5 The number of pages should be:
- a multiple of 4 if you’re printing A4,
- a multiple of 8 if you’re printing A5 or
- a multiple of 16 if you’re printing A6.
It’s impossible to print a regular zine that isn’t a multiple of 4 pages, use the numbers above to optimize your usage of the A3 sized paper.
6 The minimum amount of copies is always 30. You can print less, but you will always pay for at least 30 copies. This is because making the Master, making sure the ink spreads well, etc. takes time, ink and paper. The RISO is made for multiples, please keep this in mind and minimize waste.
Please note we also charge in increments of 10 copies.

Need your RISO prints really quickly? We offer an expedited RISO printing service. If we are not fully booked, or on holiday, we can print your RISO prints faster than usual. Discounts won’t apply on expedited RISO printing.
- For a print time of max. 5 working days an extra charge of €150,- is charged + 2* your orginal cost.
- For a print time of max. 10 working days an extra charge of €75,- is charged + 1.5* your orginal cost.
We reserve the right to refuse expedited printing jobs, when the timing is too tight for the requested print job, we’re fully booked with other print jobs, or we can’t stock enough paper in short notice for your print job.

If you don’t go for expedited RISO printing, the time from sending in the files, to them being finished is max. 15 working days (excluding Holidays, and weekends).
Please note that we’re usually on break during school Holidays, and are usually not printing in these time frames.
We offer file preparation as an extra service, at an extra cost of €40,- excl. VAT per 30min. This means we can do colour separation for you, or do some minor adjustments, and setting-up. Please note that your file needs to be sufficiently organised before sending it over to me, read more on file-prep on this page: LINK.
Due to our limited studio space, we are forced to charge you extra if you don’t pick up your print job in due time.
If you don’t pick up your prints for more than 1 week after your requested finsihing date, we are forced to charge you €15,- excl. VAT per day of storing your print job, including a charge of €105,- excl. VAT for the first week.
We offer paper cutting at a small cost, please note this is only for straight cuts through paper. We only do this for print jobs that have been done at our studio. The cutting service is at your risk, as our paper guillotine isn’t the most accurate machine, and RISO printing leads to slight shifts in registration which will translate through to the cutting.
We reserve the right to refuse cutting print jobs.
We require clear cutting marks, to be able to cut your print job, so make sure to include those in your files.
We charge €2,- per cutting action (1 cut) excl. VAT. Please note that stacks that are too high/thick, will need to go through the cutting machine in smaller stacks, and adds up to the cutting actions.
